Phase 2: Building Conversation • Day 49 of 90 ⏱️ 30 Minutes Intermediate Beginner

🇵🇭 Tagalog — Day 49 Module

Expressing Capability with 'Kaya Ko', 'Hindi Ko Kaya' & 'Kaunti Lang'

Today you add capability to your conversational toolkit using 'kaya'. You will learn to state what you can do ('Kaya kong...'), what you cannot do ('Hindi ko kayang...'), ask others about their skills ('Kaya mo bang...?'), and use the indispensable language learner response: 'Kaunti lang' (Only a little).

🎯 Today's Goal: Express personal abilities, limitations, and language skills in Tagalog using 'kaya ko' and 'hindi ko kaya'.
  • Master the affirmative capability formula: 'Kaya kong [Pandiwa]' (cook, read, write, drive, work)
  • Master the negative capability formula: 'Hindi ko kayang [Pandiwa]'
  • Ask ability questions: 'Kaya mo bang magluto / magmaneho / magsalita ng Tagalog?'
  • Respond modestly and naturally using 'Kaunti lang' (Only a little)
  • Deliver the 60-Second Spoken Ability Challenge
  • Execute the Days 46–49 Cumulative Milestone uniting Wants, Needs, Preferences, and Abilities
  • Score 9+/10 on the Day 49 Ability Test
